Shoe closet – Shoes can make an outfit, but they can also make your home a mess. You can set them neatly side by side, but a single walking step can destroy that organization in one second. You can also hide them in a wardrobe or under a bed, but that means looking through tight spaces. Shoe closet not only keep your shoes organized, they also make sure your shoes are always within reach. In addition, you can build a cabinet yourself and keep the costs low.


Measure space for your shoes. An unused corner next to the front door or right in a large shoe closet works well. Measure the width of the space, and plan to have the cabinet stop at about the waist height. This should have a lot of shoes. Draw a rectangle that matches your measurements on your chipboard with a pencil and an angle hook. Cut the rectangle with your electric hand saw. Slowly move the saw through the disc and keep your fingers out of the way of the blade.

Count how many shoes you plan to store and line them up to see how many you can fit across the board. In 2 feet of space, you can fit around four pairs of shoes. If you have 20 pairs of shoes to store, you will need shoe closet in your cabinet. Cut a 2-inch wide board and a 4-inch board for all your shoe shelves. Run a string of floating nails over the edge of your 2-inch board. Push in your board about 2 inches from the top of the board. Glue a 4-inch board about 2 inches below it.
