Room To Room Color Transition

Living Room Colors – Your room is a public room where most families receive guests and entertain. It is also a space where families spend private time together, talking, watching movies and playing games. For this reason, a living room should be formal but not too formal, sophisticated and comfortable. The colors you choose for your living room will do a lot to set the mood of the room.

Choose the type of colors you want depending on the type of living room you have and the type of environment you want to create. The below your color options depending on the type of living room you have. A larger room with high ceilings and plenty of natural light will benefit from the darker and more sophisticated colors. A smaller room with lower ceilings will benefit from lighter, fresher colors that push back the walls and open up space.

Choose a color that you would like to be the dominant color of your room. This is the color that is painted on most or all of the walls.  Choose colors on par with the dominant color. The colors must have a relationship with the dominant color. For example, accent colors must be found next to the dominant color on the color wheel (forming an analogous color scheme), opposite the dominant color on the color wheel (forming a complementary color scheme) or they may be associated with the dominant color in nature.
